Basket Options

We offer three seasons of baskets to fill your family’s needs. We also offer two additional options in the summer - seasonal fruit or fresh-cut flower bouquet, a stunning bouquet of Nevada flowers.

Our weekly basket share feeds 3-4 people. For smaller households, we offer a bi-weekly share that members receive every other week. Sharing the weekly basket with a friend or family member is another option for smaller households. Details can be found on the registration form.

You can join after a season begins, and your membership will be pro-rated.

Seasons
Early spring brings lettuces of all kinds, spinach, mesclun mix, baby greens, kale, baby chard, stir fry green mix, vit greens, tatsoi, arugula, basil, and cilantro. Late June brings peas, beets, carrots, and asparagus.

Summer includes everyone’s favorites – tomatoes, sweet corn, melons, zucchini, and summer squash. Also filling the basket are cucumbers, onions, garlic, peas, beets, carrots, new potatoes, eggplant, green beans, peppers, cabbage, and luscious Nevada berries. Late summer brings winter squash, pumpkins and more greens.

Autumn brings winter squash, lettuce and greens, lots of potatoes, pie pumpkins, onions, garlic, spinach, leeks, beets, carrots, turnips, radishes, fennel bulbs, herbs, plus value-added products.

Enjoy seasonal fruit from Kelley Orchards, located in the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls County, Idaho.  Homesteaded in 1908 by John Gourley, it continues to be operated by grandson Richard Kelley. Richard’s daughter Gretchen Kelley Bietz has lived in Reno since 1995. Gretchen is excited to provide her family’s fruit to locals through the CSA program and farmers markets.  This late-season fruit is some of the best we’ve tasted!
